First beta Baan OpenWorld Integration Workshop
We are very glad to announce the first beta Baan OpenWorld integration workshop organized by Baan Education Benelux. This course will be organized on 21-25 February 2000.
Baan Enterprise Solutions and the Baan Open World Integration Framework
The Baan Enterprise Solutions suite represents the broadest and most advanced set of enterprise applications in the enterprise software industry offered by a single vendor. They not only cover the bulk of the enterprise computing needs, but tie together departments, business units and business partners into joint business processes.
Baan has been working aggressively on very powerful integration technology. The new BaanOpenWorld Integration Framework, a hallmark of Baan’s continued strength in innovation, is the underlying technology that enables the Baan components to communicate with each other and with external applications. All the integration issues are handled by providing connectivity between applications, message transport, and transformation of business object definitions and content.
The Baan OpenWorld software is part of Baan ERP 5.0c, but will be back ported to Baan ERP IV c. This means that the current integration solutions for Baan ERP IV c, especially integration based on business object interfaces, will change. Next to that Baan OpenWorld introduces new integration concepts and tools, like for example the Integration Server.

Prerequisites: The training is aimed at a technical audience with a basic understanding of the technical and tools architecture of BaanERP, Baan IV or Triton. Conceptual knowledge of programming languages is recommended.
